Mischa Barton was removed from her LA home yesterday by police. And it wasn't for possion of a shitload of marijuana. Details are no clear but it's believed that Mischa called the police herself after having a "freak out," whatever the hell that means. Mischa Barton was placed on involuntary psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She has been falling apart in recent months and it was awful to watch. So we all should have seen this coming, and I hate seeing a beautiful girl turn into shit. From Us Weekly:
"We responded to her home last night on a medical issue," Officer April Harding tells Us. "We assisted with it. She was removed from her home."

Harding tells Us no 911 call was received, and that she was not sure if Barton, 23, was in distress. When asked if the actress was cooperative, she tells Us: "I guess."

Harding did not release details on where Barton was taken, citing California privacy laws.

The police picked up Mischa Barton yesterday and at first people speculated that it was because of a toothache. But it look like it was more than that because the LAPD has placed her under an involuntary psychiatric hold, better known as a 5150. This is the same 5150 they put Britney Spears under twice in January of last year when she was acting crazy.

According to the code, authorities can hold a person involuntarily if they present a danger to themselves or others, are gravely disabled or suffer from a mental disorder.

Mischa’s spokesperson confirmed that she will not be attending the premiere of Homecoming tonight in New York. Anyway, I wonder if this has something to do when the tons of weed she smoke each year. Now, I know a lot of people who smoke the stuff and it seem to me that insanity is a bit more prevalent among potheads. I don't know if it is the marijuana or something they put in it (like LSD or something) or they were crazy to begin with but it is a fact. The first set of pics are the most recent. And here is Mischa Barton at the BAFTA awards in London on April 26, 2009.

-------------------------------------------

Mischa Anne Marsden Barton (born January 24, 1986 in London, England) is a British-American film, television and stage actress perhaps best known for her role as Marissa Cooper in the American television series The O.C. www.GutterUncensoredPlus.com

Barton began acting at the age of eight (as she said on The Friday Night Project), co-starring in the Off Broadway premiere of Slavs!, written by Tony Kushner. She appeared in several other Off Broadway productions, taking a lead role in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams at Lincoln Center. She made her film debut in Lawn Dogs, which won awards at film festivals around the world. Since then, she has appeared in several films, such as The Sixth Sense, Notting Hill, St Trinians, and Closing the Ring. In St Trinians, dressed in a black brassiere covered by the sheerest of blouses, she apparered as a former head girl of that school advising current senior pupils on fashion and style.

Barton first appeared on television in 1996, as young Lily Montgomery in the soap opera All My Children, and in a modern re-make of Bonnie and Clyde. She guest-starred in eight episodes of the television series Once and Again as Jessie Sammler's (Evan Rachel Wood's) girlfriend, Katie Singer. Other television appearances include an episode of the FOX series Fastlane, James Blunt's music video "Goodbye My Lover", and Enrique Iglesias' music video "Addicted".

In August 2003, Fox premiered the television series The O.C., about affluent teenagers with stormy personal lives who reside in scenic Orange County, California. The show became an overnight success, and it put Barton on the map as Marissa Cooper, until her departure from the show in the third-season finale in May 2006. The O.C. dropped in ratings dramatically during its third and fourth seasons, and ended in early 2007.

In July 2006, Barton appeared on the British comedy/variety show The Friday Night Project as a guest host.

Recently, Barton was cast in an upcoming international film produced by the Russian band t.A.T.u., called You and I. She appeared in Assassination of a High School President, co-starring Bruce Willis, when the film premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. www.GutterUncensoredPlus.com
