People are accessing the personal Apple MobileMe account of actress Salma Hayek, after her login details were posted earlier today on Anonymous imageboard 4chan.org. Hacking into a famous celebrity's e-mail account might sound like it would take a lot of work and experience and knowledge of hacking, but as it turns out, the deed could be carried out with just a few keystrokes. Hackers got access to Salma Hayek’s MobileMe shayek@mac.com account and posted screen shots of her emails.

Turns out, actress America Ferrara is throwing a 25th birthday party, Salma Hayek like to read about herself in gossip magazines, Salma bought a few iPhone apps, AMEX has given her a new gold card, she is thinking about booking a spa appointment and she is so damn incredibly boring. The only good thing is her phone number is now available to everyone. Damn, I guess I won’t be the only one leaving voicemails of myself breathing heavily for three minutes then hanging up. How am I supposed to seduce her now? LOL... Anyway, her phone number is or at this point was 33144112001. The Anonymous poster who started it all also left the following bits of information for all to see and use to access Salma Hayek’s MobileMe e-mail account.

Her email address is shayek@mac.com
Go to me.com, forgot password, type shayek@mac.com
Her birthday is Sept. 2
Answer to change password question is: frida

The "hacker" said to have used her birthday (September 2, 1966) and answer her security question of what was her most famous movie role or favorite character which is Frida in order to reset her password. So all the information that was required to login to her e-mail account was available on her Wiki page. Apparently, a lot of celebrities have e-mail accounts in services like Apple’s MobileMe that are very close to their names. In this case, Salma Hayek translates to “shayek”, and with the suffix @mac.com it becomes an Apple ID. This Apple ID is the username used to log into the account. The password wasn’t known before any of the hacking began, but that's where the September 2 birthday and the term "frida" comes into play.

By choosing "forgot password," one is taken to a page that asks for the user's birthday for verification. Salma Hayek’s own Wikipedia page revealed that she was indeed born on September 2, and by entering this, one is taken to a next page asking for an answer for a secret question. The secret question reads simply: "favorite character." It would take anyone who knows Salma Hayek as an actress only a few guesses to arrive at "frida" and strike the pot of gold which is her Apple MobileMe e-mail account. Click on images to enlarge.

Hayek is the first Mexican national to be nominated for a Best Actress Oscar. She is one of the most prominent Mexican figures in Hollywood, since the legendary Dolores del Rio. She is also, after Fernanda Montenegro, the second of four Latin American actresses to achieve a Best Actress Oscar nomination.

Frida, co-produced by Hayek, was released in 2002. Starring Hayek as Frida Kahlo, and Alfred Molina as her unfaithful husband, Diego Rivera, the film was directed by Julie Taymor and featured an entourage of stars in supporting and minor roles (Valeria Golino, Ashley Judd, Edward Norton, Geoffrey Rush) and cameos (Antonio Banderas). She earned a Best Actress Academy Award nomination for her performance. This made Hayek, along with Katy Jurado and Adriana Barraza, one of only three Mexican actresses to have been nominated for an Academy Award. The film earned two Oscars. www.GutterUncensoredPlus.com

In July 2007, The Hollywood Reporter ranked Hayek fourth in their inaugural Latino Power 50, a list of the most powerful members of the Hollywood Latino community. That same month, a poll found Hayek to be the "sexiest celebrity" out of a field of 3,000 celebrities (male and female); according to the poll, "65 percent of the U.S. population would use the term 'sexy' to describe her". www.GutterUncensoredPlus.com
